Zircon
Zircon is a fine natural stone (sometimes called semi-precious) with a strong dispersion (also called "fires") and a sub-adamantine luster. It is found in a wide range of colors such as yellow, brown, orange, red, purple, blue and green.
Zircon is highly valued in jewelry for its brilliance and high dispersion, optical properties similar to those of diamond. Because of its medium hardness and its propensity to chip, it is often worn as a pendant or earrings. However, it can be set on a ring whose design will protect the stone; it is important to pay special attention to the possibility of scratches and shocks.
